Polishes and compounds all contain oils. This acts as a lubricant. They do leave behind a residue in the pads. McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner contains a de-greasing agent. This is what breaks down the oils and eliminates the residue. Rinse that pads so the cleaner is flushed out of the pores. Wool pads also benefit from this once they are dry. McKee's 37 Polishing Pad Cleaner is VOC compliant under the guidelines for an all purpose cleaner. This is a ready to use formula. Spray the pad thoroughly and let it soak in for several seconds. Use a Foam Pad Conditioning Brush to agitate the pad. Rinse well. Repeat this process if necessary.
