The black pad with medium grade polish is for removing light swirl marks and light compounding haze. This pad is for use with a finishing polish to create a high-gloss, swirl free shine. The black pad can also be used to a apply a wax or sealant.
CCS stands for collapsed cell structure. You'll find the CCS foam integration between the raised "waffle" section of each pad. The CCS foam design helps prevent excess product from being absorbed into the face of the pad, reducing the amount of product you need. Another benefit of the CCS foam design is keeping the surface wet with polish. Not only does this provide additional lubrication to help prevent marring, it provides a longer working time for your compound or polish of choice.
